TASK 1 RESEARCH

1.The job role I want to pursue in the film and tv industry is screenwriter. The key roles of this job is to write and develop the screenplay for the production. The responsibly of the screenwriter is to adapt on the script as the production progress as well as making sure that the people reading the script can imagine the setting, emotion and the way it will play out on the screen. The skills needed to be a screen writer are writing skills, observational skills, creativity skills and interpersonal skills. To be a screenwriter you must be experienced but the experience must be gained, the experience can be gained by working on many different productions and writing scripts for them. According to screenwriter Salary in UK - Check-a-Salary Latest Data (checkasalary.co.uk) the average salary of a screenwriter is £35,168 with the minim being £21,500 and the maximum being £57,750 however depending on the production you are working on you can make way more than this not to mention most screenwriters are freelancers meaning they make scripts which company's like Netflix will pay a lot for, an example of this is Ryan Murphey who is an American screenwriter that sold his Idea of American horror story to Netflix and got paid £300 Million for it. Screenwriter can lead to so many different paths in the film and tv industry whether that be working for Amazon and Netflix to being a free lance screenwriter who either goes and works with a company for a while or sells their ideas to a company. Their has been many different successful screenwriters in the film and industry some of the most famous ones being Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather trilogy), Stanley Kubrick (The shining, 2001 space odyssey, Fullmetal jacket etc.), Quentin Tarantino (Pulp fiction, Reservoir Dogs, True romance) the list of successful screenwriters goes on meaning there is a lot of chance to become successful in this role. 

TASK 2 ROLE
1.The role that I have been given on set is Production design set designer meaning I make the set look how the director imagines it. I work closely with Sophie and Hollie who are also in the set design department.

TASK 1 For task 1 i was instructed to make a 60 second documentary on something in college. i was allowed to pick a partner so i decided to partnered up with Bailey Gamble to create a sixty second documentary.
